Wecker Hall Ribbon Cutting
PROJECT
Friday was a beautiful day to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the new Wecker Hall! RTA was thrilled to celebrate this great project for the US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates & Foundation.
Located just west of Doolittle Hall, Wecker Hall brings all Association and Foundation team members together under one roof in a space that’s as inspiring as it is functional. Yost Plaza serves as a gathering space, ceremonial, and social hub, connecting Doolittle and Wecker Halls, the Pegasus Statue, and the Heritage Trail. The design seamlessly blends architecture, performance, and sustainability, reflecting the Academy’s storied identity, modernist legacy, and forward-looking values. Designed in close collaboration with the Foundation, Wecker Hall supports a modern, high-performance workplace featuring a mix of micro-offices, private offices, workstations, quiet rooms, and collaborative areas. Sustainability was a key aspect of the design. Utilizing passive design strategies, a geothermal field, and a discreet rooftop photovoltaic system, Wecker Hall aims to be the first verified net-zero energy building on the Academy. The result is a timeless, efficient, and inspiring workplace that honors the past while serving the future.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life!
