This renovation site was an empty floor atop a 100 year old historic hospital campus building which had been vacant for 5 years. Originally intended as housing for Catholic nuns, and training for nurses, the dilapidated structure had degenerated into a hodge podge of medical office space, then a make-shift location for construction workers.
The 3rd floor remodel is an RTA Interior Design success because of the brilliant solutions such as:
- Curved walls soften a ‘bowling alley’ hallway effect
- Renovation of under-utilized space added state-of-the-art conference room and catering space
- Sliding barn doors freed up the area a swinging door would use
- Dark floors with upward recessed lights disguised the feel of a low ceiling
