Audubon was developed as a partnership between several large medical practices, a local hospital, and individual physicians with a common vision that the current hospital was not the most convenient, effective, or comfortable setting for treating healthy patients.

RTA master planning for the 17-acre site featured a 130,000 sq. ft., four-story anchor building, three two-story medical office buildings, under-building physician parking, and surface parking. The Audubon Ambulatory Surgery Center forms the core of the larger medical office building. An on-grade entrance for patients, covered parking for surgeons directly below, and an efficient flow pattern create a patient-, physician-, and staff-friendly atmosphere.
