Winner 2011 Honor Award presented by AIA Colorado South Chapter

The challenge for RTA at the Arapahoe Campus was to incorporate two administrations, two different educational approaches, and integrated spaces for students who would benefit from the educational opportunities of both schools within the Boulder Valley School District.

Strategic window design throughout the school create an open and secure environment, while inviting community to look through the walls into hands-on vocational areas.   New observation windows and garage doors open the view to print shop and auto repair classrooms. Student commons and media center now have expansive views and natural light.  And the babies of teen moms have a secure daycare facility with lowered eye-level windows -- because the smallest people deserve the best view in the house.
